Hi there, I just finished my bachelor's degree at the University of California, Berkeley. Berkeley was a bumpy ride, but I couldn't be more happy about going to Berkeley. It was one of the best decisions that I ever made.

One of the perks about Berkeley is that you get to pet llamas before final week! I am sure that could be one of the reasons for you to choose Berkeley.

Histidine tends to be my favorite amino acid, you wanna know why?

Well, it's one of the amino acids that I encountered everyday when I was doing my last year of undergrad. I got sick of it because I had to remember it in different pathways so it's actually a love and hate relationship for me. Anyway, to me histidine is one of the most powerful amino acids, without it we can't even generate proteins.

I studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh for the fall 2021 semester. Switching from the US education system to the UK education system was rough, but I made my way through.

Edinburgh has led me back to the UK, whoever thought this would happen.

The project lasted for the whole spring 2022 semester, where I worked on the characterization of a kinesin 5 using the yeast protein Cin8 and wrote a fellowship paper and presented it to the supervisors and affiliates.

The project was conducted by using bio-informatics and experiments such as PCR, phenotypic analysis, western blot, fluorescence microscopy, protein purification, and enzyme kinematics assay.

I wrote an op-ed right after graduating from UC Berkeley. It started as an assignment for my public health course for my summer term. However, our professor encouraged us to get published. And voilà, I made it to the school newspaper.

Although it's just an op-ed, it boosted my confidence in writing research paper and what I do now.

Now, I am pursuing my master's degree in health data analytics and machine learning at Imperial. I am ready for a new adventure. :)
